一日の最初の光や作曲の最初の音を意味する「First Tone」。どちらの場合も、以前の出来事にはほとんど影響されないピュアな現象とも言えます。常々、音と色の間に明確な関係を感じてきたというマーク・モンゾがそんな「First Tone」という言葉から発想し、“色の音叉”を表すペンダントのシリーズを制作しました。T字状に組んだシルバーの角棒に沿って、オレンジとグリーンの２色のジルコニアがセッティングされた潔い造形は、直角の美しさが引き立ちます。10cm×10cmという存在感のあるサイズながら、華奢なラインがチェーンで揺れる姿は軽やかな印象です。
